Several months ago, our Session approved a much-needed sabbatical for Scott Jordan for July 2-27 with three Sundays off (July 8, 15, & 22). I know our church family is very appreciative of all the ways Scott stepped up as the Interim Head of Staff during the last season of change and transition. Scott reminded our congregation through his strong leadership and faithful presence that “Jesus is still on the boat” with us, meaning that God still has plans for Trinity to continue its faithful gospel witness in the Satellite Beach area in the years ahead for the glory of God!

On a personal note, I have been very thankful for Scott’s presence on TWC’s staff. Although he was noticeably exhausted after running a long, hard race over the last season of ministry when I arrived last June, the way in which he has continued to dive into leading worship, organizing ministry teams, stepping up at big events, and overseeing the operational side of congregational life has made for a healthy transition for TWC during my first year at Trinity. Thank you Scott!

Scott has been a Covenant Partner of TWC since 1979, has been leading worship since 1994, and for the last 15 years, has served in various roles on staff at TWC. So on behalf of TWC leadership, I want to communicate our “many thanks” again to Scott Jordan. We are thrilled to be able to provide the next few weeks for renewal, revitalization, and rest for Scott Jordan, knowing that ministry happens out of the “overflow” of our lives and that his future ministry among us (after his sabbatical) will be enriched because of this time away. I do ask our congregation to make every effort to respect this sabbatical for Scott, meaning that texts and emails will go intentionally unanswered during these next few weeks. Do give Scott a big thanks today.

Thankful to walk this road of discipleship with you,
Rev. Dr. Jason Carter
Senior Pastor/Head of Staff
