Rev. Dr. Jason Carter, Lead Pastor

Jason has been married for fifteen years to Lisa and is the father of three young boys (ages 11, 6, & 3). Jason grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and was first called into the ministry during his college years at Baylor University. Before coming to Trinity, Jason served as a missionary-professor in Equatorial Guinea (the only Spanish-speaking country of Africa) where he was involved in the training, equipping, and discipleship of future pastors and leaders at the largest evangelical seminary in the country. Jason is the author of Inside the Whirlwind: The Book of Job through African Eyes, contributor to the African Study Bible, and recently completed a chapter for an edited volume entitled The Oxford History of Protestant Dissenting Traditions (forthcoming).  Jason’s formal education ended in 2013 when he graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland); he completed his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and his Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Systematic Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing basketball, running, reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife Lisa and their three boys.

Rev. Steve Schantz, Visitation Pastor/Director of Life Groups

Steve grew up in upstate New York and became a Floridian by choice. He has been in full-time ministry since 1978 and has served congregations in Middlesboro, London, and Somerset, Kentucky; Clarksburg, West Virginia; and Fort Myers, Sarasota, and Port St. Lucie, Florida. He currently serves two small Grace Communion congregations in Orlando and Melbourne, which allows him time to serve our needs at Trinity. Steve and his wife Carol have been married since 1977. Carol is from Alabama, and can definitely be counted as one of Trinity’s “Roll ‘Tide” fans. Steve and his family moved to Brevard County in 1994 and live in Viera. Their adult children graduated from Satellite High School and the University of Central Florida. While employed in full time ministry, He has had the opportunity to wear a number of hats. He has worked with families, singles, and youth. Some of his fondest memories are those shared with the senior members of the congregation. He continues to learn invaluable lessons from those who have gone before him. In addition to his role as Visitation Pastor, Steve is also the Director of Life Groups for Trinity Wellsprings Church. Steve’s community involvement in Brevard County includes working with the Suntree Viera Area Association of Churches. He has also actively served in outreach through the Southern Brevard Meals on Wheels; Canova Beach Clean-Up Projects; planning community worship opportunities at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; Habitat for Humanity, and the former Resurrection Ranch.

Scott Jordan, Business Manager/Director of Worship & Technical Arts

Scott moved to Satellite Beach with his family in 1971. After his father retired from the Air Force the family decided to remain in Florida. Scott attended high school and college in Florida before embarking in a career in banking. After early retirement from a 25 year career in banking, he answered a call to full time ministry joining the Trinity staff as Director of Worship & Technical Arts in the fall of 2003. Scott assumed the additional role as Trinity’s Business Manager in the summer of 2010.Scott has been a member of Trinity since 1979 serving in many different areas including; leading college age & young professionals bible studies, sound and technical support teams, chair of the building committee that built the fellowship hall, office and Oasis areas. He also was involved in several music ministries including 11 years leading Beginnings (a 10 member traveling music and evangelism team). In 1994 Scott became the worship leader at Trinity’s then two worship services. In 1996 he formed Cross the Jordan a contemporary Christian band. In 1999 Trinity began a contemporary worship service. Scott along with Cross the Jordan offers worship leadership at the 9:00 Sunday Contemporary service. Scott and his wife, Tricia, (also a member of Cross the Jordan) have been married since 1992. In addition to the blessing of making music as a couple, they also enjoy spending time at the beach and traveling whenever their busy schedules allow.

 

Angie Rogers, Director of Children & Family Ministries

Angie is a Florida native and started attending Trinity in 1981. She graduated from Satellite High School and studied Television at Auburn University. She enjoyed a career in children’s television and then in multimedia/website development. After moving back to Brevard County in 2000 she was recruited into Children’s Ministry at Trinity as a volunteer. She taught Sunday School classes and when the JAM (large group/small group) model was implemented she taught the Bible lesson to 1st-6th graders on Sunday mornings. After teaching in various roles in Children’s Ministry from 2000-2012 she was asked to serve as the Director of Children’s Ministry in 2013. In her free time she likes singing and traveling to tropical places with her husband, Wil, and their two grown children.

 

Jonathan Cronkhite, Director of Student & Family Ministries

With over 22 years of full-time ministry experience working with students and families, Jonathan adds a lot to the team. He was on Trinity’s staff from 2001-2013, returning in July 2016 as Director of Students and Family Ministries. During the time he wasn’t on Trinity’s staff, he developed a non-profit ministry: Homes Devoted that helps churches and families renovate the spiritual culture in homes for future faithful generations. Jonathan serves both Trinity and Homes Devoted part time. He and his wife, Carrie, have been married for over 18 years and have 5 children. When he has the time, which is rare, he enjoys playing volleyball & flag-football and doing projects around the house.

 

Sandy Bryan, Director Music Ministries

Sandy is a native of Florida who grew up right here in Satellite Beach. She ventured off to Tallahassee where she earned a degree in music education from FSU. Her husband, Jim also grew up on the barrier island and they have two sons. Sandy started playing piano at age 7. She has taught music in the public school system and currently gives private piano lessons. She has sung in choirs for 10 years, played both the piano and organ as well as directed choirs for many years. Her talents have allowed her to perform as a solo artist in Orlando and as a guest artist in Scandinavia.Sandy joined the Trinity staff in 1994 as organist and accompanist for the choir. In 1996 she became the Director of Music ministries for Trinity Wellsprings Church.

Christine Randall, Communications Administrator

Christine was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Florida in the summer of 2004 (the year she has named “The Year of the Hurricanes”).  She graduated from Lacey Township High School in 1980-something and from Valley Forge Christian College a few years later.  Since her teenage years, she has always served churches in a variety of ways, mostly as a volunteer in those earlier years.  She enjoys singing and working with students.  She feels blessed to be working full time where she gets to be creative and use some of the tech skills she’s learned along the way.  She loves the beach and she and her husband Richard enjoy kayaking with the manatees.

 

Jill Means, Nursery Supervisor & Children’s Ministries Administrator

As a 5 year old Jill moved to Satellite Beach her Air force family and she has been attending Trinity Wellsprings Church ever since. She graduated from Satellite High School and Florida State University with a degree in Civil Engineering (Go Noles!). After working in the land development field for 5 years, she decided to become a stay-at-home mom. In 2006 she started working part-time in the church nursery and in 2012 she became the Nursery Supervisor. She considers it a privilege to be one of the first to introduce a child to Jesus! A year later she joined the Children’s Ministry team as Administrator. While this is a far cry from her degree, in many ways, children’s ministry is just as challenging as engineering, but certainly more rewarding! Jill has been married to Bill (yes they rhyme!) for 18 years and they have a son, 15, and a daughter, 12. When she’s not working at the church or chauffeuring kids all over town, she also serves as Vice Coordinator for Trinity Wellsprings’ American Heritage Girls troop, sings in the choir, and loves to read, play the piano, and watch Florida State sports.

 

Pat Foster, Life Groups & Congregational Care Administrator

Pat has lived in Satellite Beach for 19 years, coming to Florida by way of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Pat is married to Pete for almost 51 years, yes they were high school sweethearts. After listening to Pete beg to move to Florida so his aching body could get out of the cold Pat gave in. Pat & Pete have three adult children, Christine, who joined them in Florida and is Communications Administrator here, and Deborah & Brian live in Pennsylvania. Pat previously worked for Trinity from 2000 to 2006. She rejoined the staff again in 2013 as part-time Life Group Administrator. Having been a part of life groups up north, she knows that life is so much better when you can share your life with others through the ups and downs of life. Pat enjoys meeting people and finding a connection for them through Life Groups.

 

Susan Shub, Pianist/Accompanist

Susan was born in Cocoa, Florida. Growing up she attended schools in Tampa. After graduation she worked as a legal secretary and court reporting transcriber before moving to Valdosta, Ga. She was an honor student at Valdosta State College, majoring in Music with an emphasis on pianoforte. Susan has lived around the world while her husband of almost 41 years was stationed in North Carolina, Okinawa, Miami, Hawaii and Germany where she served as the base chapel’s choir accompanist, ultimately retiring at Patrick Air Force Base and residing in Melbourne, Fl. She served as the adult & children’s choir director & accompanist at PAFB for 10 years. One of the highlights of this service was directing and accompanying a Protestant/Catholic choir for a memorial service attended by the President honoring those who died in the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia. She directed and accompanied the Officer’s Wives’ Club “Skylarks” singing group for 8 years. She’s been teaching piano in Melbourne, for 28 years. Susan has been a member of the Trinity staff for 19 years serving as Pianist/Accompanist.
