NEW Worship Times & Community Hour

With covid – finally? hopefully? – on the decline over the next few weeks, Session believes the time has arrived to launch into our preferred future as a church family. We heard great feedback from many of our Covenant Partners and discussed what a spiritually robust and relationally-rich community of faith looks like for our church. In light of that conversation, our new service times, starting Sunday, March 6th, will be as follows:

9:00 am Contemporary Worship, Sanctuary

10:00 am  Community Hour

11:00 am Traditional/Blended Worship, Sanctuary

Musically, Sandy Bryan and the Choir will typically lead the 11:00 Traditional / Blended Worship Service with a mix of hymns, choir anthems, and praise choruses while Simon and Jessica Dunn will ordinarily lead the 9:00 Contemporary Service. Regardless of the musical style, both services will always aim to focus our attention upward through “Big-God, Christ-centered” lyrics, the hallmarks of TWC worship.

Pastor’s Study: The Parables of Jesus | Seminar Room Ever wonder why Jesus spoke in parables? “This is why I speak to them in parables: ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing they do not hear or understand” (Matthew 13:13). Umm…what? By categorizing the parables in five different categories – kingdom, salvation, wisdom/folly, Christian life, and judgment, we will get closer to the heartbeat of Jesus, the Greatest Teacher Ever.

Parents’ Gathering | Chapel As a faith community, we aim to journey together not in an attempt to become perfect parents, but in pursuit of a perfect God! Join us during the Community Hour to gain a biblical perspective on discipling our children and to encourage one another in prayer and fellowship. Coffee and refreshments provided.

Young Adults | Oasis Join Drew & Simon in the Oasis Cafe for a handcrafted espresso beverage from our barista. This will be a great time for all young adults aged 18-35, whether you are a college student or young professional, to discuss relevant topics, encourage each other and pray together.

Children’s Small Groups | The Boardwalk After our Large Group lesson during the 9:00 service, children will gather according to grade level for games, discussion about the lesson, prayer and lots of fun! Small Group leaders will give kids various opportunities to reflect on the teaching for the day and to respond to God’s Word. Snacks will be provided.

Students | The BeachHouse Check out Dive! We’ll be growing and learning together in the Word every week, hanging out and building real friendships as we go. Come as you are!
