Our Mission Partner- The DOCK

the-dockThe Dorcas Outreach Center for Kids (The DOCK) is a program in Brevard County that provides mentoring, hope, and opportunity to our young people, especially to African American boys and girls. It’s located in Eau Gallie, in the heart of the Booker T. Washington neighborhood.

The DOCK is led by a strong, Christian woman, Botavia Jackson. She and 2 aides provide daily consistency for the kids. But this small staff can’t possibly give all of the children and teens at the DOCK the individualized attention that they need. They depend on others to join them and to volunteer. It’s a serious commitment. But the volunteers say that it’s a “win-win”. They get back just as much, if not more, than they give. They relish the love that they receive from the children, and the fulfillment that comes from impacting the kids’ lives.

Many more volunteers are needed at the DOCK! Students interested in volunteering at THE DOCK should apply at this website: http://bndcserve.org/get-involved/

The EDGE is Trinity’s 10‐Week, once‐a‐week, after‐school program where 1st-3rd and 4th-6th Graders get the chance to have fun with their friends, get their homework finished, and learn a new skill or hobby. Students interested in volunteering can apply to THE EDGE by emailing Angie Rogers.
