Rev. Dr. Jason Carter,
Lead Pastor

Jason has been married for nineteen years to Lisa and is the father of three boys (15, 10, & 7). Jason grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and was first called into the ministry during his college years at Baylor University. Before coming to Trinity, Jason served as a missionary-professor in Equatorial Guinea (the only Spanish-speaking country of Africa) where he was involved in the training, equipping, and discipleship of future pastors and leaders at the largest evangelical seminary in the country.

Jason is the author of Inside the Whirlwind: The Book of Job through African Eyes and a contributor to The Oxford History of Protestant Dissenting Traditions, World Christian Encyclopedia, and The African Study Bible. Jason’s formal education ended in 2013 when he graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) after completing his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and his Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Systematic Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing basketball, traveling (50+ countries visited), rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas Jayhawks (basketball) team, and spending time with his wife Lisa and their three boys.
