Mike and Esther Elmer’s journey together began over 17 years ago when they were married in Powder Springs, GA. Mike grew up in Marietta, GA and Esther in Orlando, FL, and from the beginning, they have been truly blessed with loving and caring family around them. About four years ago, they made a return to Florida after several chapters along the way.
They have four children: Isaac and Oliver, born in Nicaragua; Ella, their only daughter, born in Beverly, MA; and their youngest Emmett, born in New York City.
Through those various seasons in different places, the most remarkable and constant part of their lives has been the faithfulness of God. The people are what make a place, and how much more the community of faith pursuing the kingdom of God together! That is what stands out the most: the many friends, mentors, connections with extended family, and inspiring relationships they have encountered in the many places they’ve lived. The best that life has to offer is in relationship, first with God and then others. That has consistently been the great joy for Mike and Esther as they’ve connected with people in diverse places and seen the goodness of God in particular contexts.
Mike and Esther are overjoyed at what’s ahead for them in Satellite Beach, FL, where Mike has a call to Trinity Wellsprings Church as Assistant Pastor of Family Ministries. For the Christian, the best is always yet ahead, because we have a God who loves us and whose “faithfulness stretches to the clouds.”
