Contending for the Faith: Apologetics Conference
What is apologetics? Apologetics seeks to present a reasonable defense of the Christian faith and truth.
In the history of the church, scriptural truths have often required a defense of the claims of Christianity to help people overcome intellectual, emotional, or spiritual objections to the faith.
As Christians, our calling remains the same as the earliest believers: to be witnesses to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all the world. As with our forerunners in the faith, we ought to consider the context and challenges that our culture presents to us, and do our best to respond to the questions and doubts that people have regarding faith in Jesus Christ.
This conference seeks to equip Christians to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15)
